Before depositing at any online casino, take five minutes to read this checklist — it covers the steps most players skip. Whether you are new to Leovegas or a seasoned player, this guide walks through registration, wagering calculations, payments, and safety checks so you can play with confidence.
Prerequisites
- You must be at least 19 years old (the legal gambling age in Ontario) to register and play at Leovegas casino.
- You need a valid email address and a mobile phone number for verification purposes.
- Have a government-issued ID ready (passport, driver’s license, or provincial ID) for the KYC process.
- Choose a payment method that works for you — debit/credit cards, e-wallets like Interac or PayPal, or bank transfer. Ensure it is registered in your name.
- Ensure your device meets the minimum requirements: a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) or a stable internet connection. Leovegas offers a mobile-optimized website and a progressive web app (PWA) you can launch from your browser — no app store download needed.
- Set a budget and stick to it. Check your provincial self-exclusion tools if you ever feel the need.
Creating Your Account
- Visit the official Leovegas site via leovegas-ontario.com — the homepage will show a “Sign Up” or “Register” button in the top corner. Click it.
- Fill in the registration form: choose a username, enter your email, and create a strong password that includes upper/lowercase letters, numbers, and a symbol.
- Provide your personal details exactly as they appear on your ID — full legal name, date of birth, and home address.
- Select your preferred currency and set your account language to English.
- Accept the terms and conditions — read them, especially the bonus wagering requirements.
- Verify your email by clicking the link sent to you, and complete phone verification if prompted.
- Log in and, before depositing, complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process by uploading a photo of your ID and a proof of address (e.g., a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last three months).
How Wagering Works
Wagering requirements appear on most bonuses, and they determine how many times you must bet your bonus amount before you can withdraw winnings. For example, if Leovegas offers a 100% match bonus up to $200 with a 35x wagering requirement on the bonus, here is the math: you deposit $100 and receive a $100 bonus. Your wagering target = $100 (bonus) × 35 = $3,500. That means you need to make total bets of $3,500 before any bonus-related winnings become withdrawable. If you also deposit funds, note that some casinos include both deposit and bonus in the requirement — always check the terms. A typical formula is: (Deposit + Bonus) × Wagering Requirement = Total Wagering Needed. For instance: ($100 + $100) × 35 = $7,000. In practice, slots usually contribute 100% to wagering, while table games contribute 10%–20%, and live dealer games often contribute 0%–5%. This means if you play blackjack, you might need to wager far more in real money bets to clear the bonus. Always check the contribution rates in the game info before starting.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Leovegas supports a range of payment methods. Deposits are typically instant, but withdrawals take processing time. Below is a summary of common options — note that limits and methods vary by region and your account status.
| Method | Deposit Time | Withdrawal Time | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Debit/Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard) | Instant | 1–5 business days | Usually none |
| Interac (e-transfer) | Instant | Up to 24 hours | Usually none |
| E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, PayPal) | Instant | Up to 12 hours | Possible withdrawal fee |
| Bank Transfer | 1–3 business days | 3–7 business days | Possible fee |
| Prepaid Cards (Paysafecard) | Instant | Not available | N/A |
For withdrawals, you must use the same method you deposited with, if possible; otherwise, you may need to verify a new method. The casino may also enforce a minimum withdrawal amount, typically $10–$20. Always complete KYC before requesting a withdrawal to avoid delays. If you are in Ontario, note that Leovegas operates under a provincial licence — this means your winnings are generally not subject to additional local income tax, but we recommend consulting a tax advisor for specific situations.
Licence & Player Protection
Leovegas holds a valid licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), ensuring it operates legally within the province. This licence comes with strict player protection requirements: fair gaming audits, responsible gambling tools (deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion), and secure transactions using SSL encryption. The site also uses accredited RNG software tested by independent bodies. Always verify the licence number on the official AGCO website. If you ever play on a Curacao-licensed casino (not applicable to Ontario), remember that winnings may be subject to local income tax — a common pitfall for players abroad.
Support Guide
Customer support is available 24/7 via live chat and email. Here are common scenarios and how to resolve them:
- Scenario: Forgot your password. Click “Forgot Password” on the login page, enter your email, and follow the reset link. If you don’t receive it, check spam and try again; if still stuck, contact live chat.
- Scenario: A deposit didn’t arrive. Wait 10 minutes, then refresh your account balance. If still missing, screenshot your transaction confirmation and contact support with your user ID and transaction reference.
- Scenario: Withdrawal is pending. Check your email for KYC requests — often, missing documents cause delays. If you’ve provided everything and it’s been over 48 hours, chat with support to escalate.
- Scenario: Game won’t load. Clear your browser cache, disable VPN, and try a different browser. If the issue persists, check the “Status” page on the site for maintenance notices.
- Scenario: Bonus not credited. Verify you met the minimum deposit, and if applicable, entered the bonus code. Bonus offers vary, so read the promotional terms; contact live chat with the promotion name.
Pro Tips
If your withdrawal is delayed, follow these steps: First, check the processing time in the cashier — most withdrawals at Leovegas take up to 24 hours for e-wallets and up to 5 business days for cards or bank. If it exceeds that, contact live chat with your withdrawal ID and ask for a status update. Provide any documents in advance. If you still face delays, request an escalation to the financial department via email. Keep records of all communication. The support team typically resolves issues within a day; if not, you can file a complaint with IBIA (Independent Betting Integrity Association) if you suspect foul play.
